He takes over the day-to-day operations from Aric K. Perminter, who continues to serve as chairman.
Rich joins Lynx from Lumension Security (now known as Heat Software), a well-known global leader in endpoint management and security that develops, integrates, and markets security software solutions that help businesses protect their vital information and manage critical risk across network and endpoint assets.

About Rich Hlavka
Rich Hlavka is a senior executive in the security software space. He recently served as VP of Global Sales at Interset. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President of Business Development for HEAT Software (formerly FrontRange & Lumension aka PatchLink). Prior to joining HEAT Software, Mr. Hlavka has held a number of management and executive leadership positions at Lumension including SVP of Business Development and Worldwide Sales where he was instrumental in successfully growing the sales force from a start-up into a world-class, international team. During his sales leadership tenure, Lumension (PatchLink) revenues grew over 900% in a 2.5-year period. Moreover, since assuming Global Business Development, OEM and alternative revenues has grown over 400%. Additionally under his sales leadership, Lumension ranked as the 14th Fastest Growing Company on the Inc. 500 for private businesses.
Mr. Hlavka’s strong business acumen combined with his industry knowledge has been instrumental in helping to grow Lumension into a globally recognized security software company.
Prior to joining HEAT Software/Lumension, Mr. Hlavka served as managing director for Compuware Corporation, ranked as the fifth largest software company in the world. In this role, he was responsible for leading all sales and the successful delivery of Compuware products and related services to the market. Mr. Hlavka has also served in multiple management positions with Healtheon/WebMD (formerly Envoy Corp.) and McKesson HBOC (formerly CyCare Systems).
He actively serves on the board of the Arizona Technology Council and sits on the advisory committee for the East Valley Institute of Technology.
