Matthew Beck brings to Lynx a focus on product life cycle management, a passion for growing technology ventures and experience building and developing Agile/Lean software teams.

As a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelors degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Matthew began his professional career working for CMU’s Robotics Institute, focusing on manufacturing process automation. From 1998 to 2004 he served in various technical roles at eSourcing and SaaS pioneer FreeMarkets (now Ariba, an SAP company), with a focus on web application architecture, enabling the consulting-focused company to scale through software.

Over the last decade, he has helped several startup-to-growth-stage ventures deliver exceptional value to their customers. These companies have served a variety of industries but have common ground in educational and process-related content, configurable workflows, and scalable multi-tenant SaaS while meeting HIPAA, FERPA, PCI, ISO-27001 and other standards.

Matthew’s first foray into commercial software development was in middle school with a shareware licensed music tutoring program for the Apple IIe. While it only sold a couple dozen copies, the entrepreneurial hook was set. Outside of work, he is a father of five (ages 15 to 2) who recently celebrated his 20th wedding anniversary to wife Jennifer. He enjoys reading political and sci-fi thrilllers, and is a longtime avid player of deck hockey. A St. Louis-area native, he currently resides in Emsworth, PA.
