Bobby Dominguez will discuss the operationalization of the NIST Cyber Security Framework to create an information technology risk program at ISACA’s CSX 2016 North America conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, 17-19 October 2016. CSX 2016 North America will be focused on practical cybersecurity solutions and guidance, tailored to every level of a security professional’s career.
In his presentation, titled “Implementing an IT Risk Program using the NIST Cyber Security Framework,” Mr. Dominguez will describe the key elements of the NIST CSF, and will focus on best practices for leveraging the CSF to implement an IT risk program. Specific examples and tools for operationalizing the framework will be reviewed and provided.
“I think it’s important for practitioners to see the pragmatic application of these frameworks. They are more than academic exercises and can really help you bootstrap or better structure your risk and security programs,” said Mr. Dominguez.
Global IT and cybersecurity association ISACA developed Cybersecurity Nexus (CSX) to help organizations build qualified cybersecurity workforces. To provide in-person training and networking opportunities, ISACA is hosting the CSX 2016 North America conference.
